About the farm
Gicumbi Natural comes from the Bukure Sector in Gicumbi District, where coffee is cultivated by a group of 47 smallholder farmers organized into a local cooperative. Bourbon variety coffee trees grow at high altitudes on fertile soils that create ideal conditions for specialty coffee production.
This coffee is created through careful selection of hand-picked, fully ripe cherries. Farmers deliver the cherries to local processing stations on the day of harvest, where the natural process helps preserve the coffee’s intense sweetness, clean profile, and distinctive fruit character.
The producers receive ongoing support from Nova agronomists, who help develop best farming practices — from tree care and soil fertility management to pest and disease control and selective harvesting. This continuous support helps maintain high quality and consistency across each lot.
